Conor McGregor Calls Out John Cena, Continues Trolling WWE
At an open workout on Friday, McGregor took aim at John Cena.
“What’s the main guy? I’d take him down, then ground and pound him until I knocked him out”, said Angle. He’s 40 years of age. He’s walking around in a illuminous orange t-shirt and a headband talking about [how] no one can see him.
Now we wait and see if the wrestling world responds again. “He’s a big fat, 40-year-old failed Mr. Olympia motherf*cker, do you know what I mean?” “This ain’t no gimmick – this is the real shit”. McGregor reportedly turned down the opportunity saying “That was a seven-figure deal that I turned down so I could prepare for this fight”. “This is the real sh*t”, he said in response to Ric’s comments. With no script, with no nothing. “The other guy (CM Punk) hasn’t fought yet, so I don’t know about him yet”. Come bring it, then. I would love to see Conor McGregor try to be on top of WWE for thirteen years. Diaz submitted McGregor in a shocking result at UFC 196 in March, a fight he took as a late-replacement. He admitted that the old school guys – like Flair – are legends and called the McMahons are “Dons”.
“I’m taking this contest very, very seriously”, he said. [WWE CEO Vince McMahon] is a f*cking legend.
“So for me, right now, it’s just going to be focus on being a two-time Olympic champion, enjoy the moment, live in the moment and never say never, but right now, the answer is no to MMA”.
Although McGregor singled out Flair as a “cool motherf***er”, he insisted he didn’t steal the wrestler’s style. “They’re dweebs those guys”. I don’t know what it is.
“I’ve got them all wrapped up on my little finger”, McGregor said. The boxing game, the MMA game. I’ve got rounds on rounds on the mat, in the cage (and) in the ring. “I’ve got the whole sh*t locked up”. Jose Aldo won the interim featherweight title at UFC 200 and has been licking his chops at the thought of another showdown with McGregor.
And while Khan would not hesitate to face McGregor, who tackles Nate Diaz in a huge rematch in Las Vegas next Saturday, he still has unfinished business in boxing. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on FS1 and UFC Fight Pass.
But, judging from McGregor’s sentiments at yesterday’s media day in Las Vegas, the Irishman doesn’t seem too thrilled about the idea of a return to featherweight.
