Pakistan celebrates Independence Day
The Acting High Commissioner of Pakistan to Brunei Darussalam, Ahmed Ali Sirohey, unfurled and hoisted the flag witnessed by Pakistani nationals now working and residing in Brunei.
“I look forward to working with Prime Minister Sharif to further strengthen the relationship between our two countries, and to working together on global issues including, peace, security, and development cooperation”.
He said that Pakistan’s future is in a strong democracy which would ensure progress, prosperity and development of the country.
President said terrorists through their nefarious designs can not weaken nation’s resolve to fight terrorism.
A FLAG hoisting ceremony was held in commemoration of the 70th Independence Day of Pakistan at the premises of the Pakistan High Commission in Brunei Darussalam.
The Prime Minister reaffirmed that Pakistan would continue to support the just cause of the people of Jammu and Kashmir at every forum politically, diplomatically and ethically. He said that the families bereaved by the Quetta incident should not consider themselves alone. He said the nation is standing by the armed forces in the ongoing war on terror and it pays tribute to their services.
They said Pakistan always desired friendly and cordial ties with all states in multiple fields, particularly mentioning the ongoing execution of China Pakistan Economic Corridor which would enhance regional linkages to usher in a new era of progress and prosperity not only in the country but also the whole region.
He said the words of the Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah are the pearls of wisdom.
