Strictly Come Dancing 2016: Ore Oduba joins celebrity line-up
Ore Oduba is the fourth celebrity contestant to be confirmed for the brand new series of Strictly Come Dancing on BBC One.
The 31-year-old Irish presenter is the third celebrity announced for the BBC1 show, following former politician Ed Balls and singer Will Young.
After revealing she was competing, Laura told Nick Grimshaw: “When I was a kid, I Irish-danced, but not well …”
“Im not looking for anything, but I wouldnt mind going to a wedding if somebody else is looking to get together”.
The presenter will take the name of Lady Macbeth for the show, with all contestants adopting Shakespeare characters for this year’s competition.
Ore, who hadn’t been rumoured for the show, said: “I’m still waiting for someone to wake me up and tell me I’m dreaming!” It was just the legs that moved.
“Thanks for making me feel intimidated in my own home”.
The former Pop Idol victor has been confirmed for Strictly 2016, and ahead of the series this September, we bring you everything you need to know about Will Young…
Will Young was catapulted to fame after winning the first-ever UK Pop Idol in 2002, and with a background in singing and musical theatre he should be well-placed to take on Strictly Come Dancing.
“I’m not going to lie, I’m slightly petrified too”.
She said: “It really gets you into character when you see yourself in it”.
“I’ve always known I’ve wanted to do it”.
But the BBC confirmed this week that Young would be paired with a female professional dance partner.
