Destiny The Taken King PlayStation Content Coming to Xbox in Fall 2017
The extension applies to the PS4-exclusive items, equipment, and maps featured in Destiny: The Taken King and the upcoming expansion Destiny: Rise of Iron, ensuring that Xbox One players will lag behind their PlayStation 4-owning buddies for at least another year. Now, however, the PlayStation-only content that was added in The Taken King a year ago has had its exclusivity extended, until “at least Fall 2017”.
All of the PlayStation Exclusive content eventually released on Xbox One but did it took this long.
Back when The Taken King was originally released in Fall 2015, marketing materials listed this content as exclusive until “at least Fall 2016.”
Bungie’s Destiny recently announced the Rise of Iron expansion, and with it, support for private Crucible matches as well as custom tournaments hosted by users featuring clans and teamplay is set to make its way to the popular MMO title. A patch issued in April doled out additional PlayStation-exclusive extras, including a themed Sparrow vehicle, a new sniper rifle, and armor sets for all classes.
Earlier, during the earnings call of Activision, the game publisher of Destiny revealed that most of the Bungie developers were working on the Destiny 2 project.
Bungie is working on another Destiny game apparently.
Bungie reveals that the return of the Gjallarhorn rocket launcher in Destiny’s forthcoming Rise of Iron expansion is not as powerful as its original version.
