Ubisoft developed a fart-smelling accessory for the new South Park game
South Park: The Fractured But Whole releases December 6th on new-gen consoles and PC, making it entirely plausible that Nosulus Rift could make an appearance at PAX Australia in early November. Those who pre-purchase the digital version of the game will receive a digital copy of South Park: The Stick of Truth for free.
Nosulus Rift is designed for the nose, hence the name. As The Verge notes, you can pass gas to fight, move around or just for the hell of it. In the latest gameplay footage we’ve grabbed from Gamescom, see which superhero types you get to start as, as well as hints of the other classes you’ll presumably unlock later in the game.
Ubisoft said of the invention: “This device, only available during conventions and not for sale, takes virtual reality to a whole new level by allowing players to enjoy South Park: The Fractured But Whole in the most immersive way possible”. The player again controls The New Kid, though can now change his gender to female if they wish.
Smells of the Nosulus Rift was made in cooperation with the famous Isabelle Ferrand, a French perfume specialist.
The creators of an upcoming “South Park” video game have developed a stinky spin on virtual reality.
