Shannen Doherty settles cancer insurance lawsuit with ex-manager

Shannen Doherty stepped out for a girls’ night out on Monday, after news broke that she had settled the health insurance lawsuit she filed against her former management firm.

Doherty has kept her cancer battle in the public eye in the hopes that it will offer comfort, hope and inspiration to others going through similar struggles. A fight she shared on social networks, where she notably posted pictures of her trying to shave his head, and on which it can rely on the support of his many fans. Doherty said that SAG sent her an insurance invoice in November 2013 that would have taken care of her medical coverage for 2014. TMZ states that, before the settlement, the ex-manager’s lawyers attempted to bring Doherty in for a second deposition to question the severity of her illness.

The Beverly Hills, 90210 alum, who revealed that the cancer had spread to her lymph nodes earlier this summer, took to Instagram to share a boomerang video of herself and her husband hitting the courts, along with an inspiring message. “Plaintiff was also informed that, had she been insured and able to visit her doctor, the cancer could potentially have been stopped, thus obviating the need for the future treatment (including mastectomy and chemotherapy) that Plaintiff will likely have to suffer through now”, the documents stated.

She said: “Yes, I have breast cancer, and I am now undergoing treatment”.
