Nick Cannon starts freshman year of college at Howard University
The actor, rapper, comedian, and America’s Got Talent host says he is enrolled at Howard University as a freshman. Now it appears he is ready to put that work in in academia, recently announcing he is taking classes at Howard University in Washington D.C.
Nick Cannon has played a student on screen, but this time around, it’s the real thing. The picture was captioned: “My first day as a freshman”.
Cannon isn’t the first celebrity to attend Howard University.
Howard University is one of the top HBCU’s in the country and it’s been said the administrators will work with Cannon on his schedule since he’ll be juggling a number of television shows, a tech company and other projects. In a recent Instagram photo, Cannon referenced the airborne commute: “Turning these Airplanes into School Buses!”
The actor/writer/producer/rapper/Mariah Carey ex wrote “I’m ready” on a post that quotes Nelson Mandela: “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”.
So, why college? If two #SoGoneChallenge videos Cannon posted on Instagram right after his back-to-school shot is any indication, he’s chasing a less materialistic life path, rapping, “It’s the money that makes (expletive) get ugly”.
