Are you excited about Google’s Daydream VR platform?
Google is optimistic that the hybrid software service will gain dominance in the market and be able to engage people in virtual reality the same way Android does for Smartphone.
So far, dozens of filmmakers have agreed to work with YouTube to create content for Daydream, according to those familiar with the matter.
For the last one year, Google has been making heavy research and investments in the VR arena.

According to the market research firm IDC, virtual reality hardware sales will hit the $1 billion mark by the end of this year, and will generate nearly $20 billion by 2020. By requiring an Android N mobile phone to act as both the screen and the brains of platform, Daydream-compatible devices should end up with much smaller price tags than some of their competitors.
Google already has its toes in the VR waters.
