Sony brings PlayStation Now to Windows platform; launches DualShock 4 wireless adaptor
To make the service easy to play with a wireless setup, Sony is also releasing a new Bluetooth dongle for the DualShock 4 controller. That means you’ll be able to get all those PlayStation controls on your PC.
A new Dualshock 4 that features a lightbar across the top of the touchpad will apparently accompany the PS4 Slim. It will support all of the controller’s functions, including the buttons, analogue sticks, touch pad, light bar, motion sensors, vibration, and the stereo headset jack.
In an announcement late on Tuesday night, Japanese electronics giant Sony brought good news for PC gamers on two accounts.
PC gamers will soon have the chance to play some PS3 classics by streaming them through PlayStation Now.
PS Now has a library of over 300 PlayStation 3 titles including the BioShock series, Rocksteady’s Batman: Arkham series, entries in the Saints Row franchise and, most notably, exclusives such as the Uncharted series, God of War 3 and The Last of Us.
The adaptor works with PlayStation Now, which is now available on the PC, as well as PS4 Remote Play, the app that lets you remotely play your PlayStation games on your computer, over a local network connection. The UK, Belgium and the Netherlands will all get access to PlayStation Now on PC today, with the service making its way to the United States of America in coming days.
Some analysts have even suggested a price for the slimmer PS4 console and it is believed to be less than $350, which is the price tag of the current PS4 on the market.
The smaller console is believed to be scheduled for release at an event which will take place in NY on the 7 of September and that it will be released alongside the PS4 Neo which is presumed to support 4K video resolution.
