No Man’s Sky Getting New PS4 Patch This Week
The developers had previously released two other patches, one on Friday and the other on Sunday, both aimed at the same problem: crash fixes.
The new patch, 1.06, is now in testing and is scheduled to come out this week, Hello Games said, though a specific release date was not announced. “Patch 1.06 fixes 90% of crash issues for PS4 is in testing and will release this week”.
No Man’s Sky game director Sean Murray says the Hello Games team is “totally focused on customer support right now”, with the studio recently bringing in a QA team larger than the development team itself in order to help identify and fix issues. After these series of issues are resolved, the developers will turn to more in-game content updates, but just what all Hello Games has planned out for the game has yet to be revealed.
I actually enjoyed the relaxing nature of No Man’s Sky for a bit, and I’m not upset by the way they describe the game in the video above.
Hello Games has yet to release PS4-specific patch notes for these updates, but the full notes for the many patches on PC can be found on the game’s steam page.
