Hilarious! Tom Cruise, Jimmy Fallon have epic ‘Lip Sync Battle’
During the hilarious skit, the Hollywood star pretended to sing You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling, which he famously performed in the hit 1986 flick.
Cruise went up first, announcing that he’d be singing the “song of the summer”.
“I can’t feel my face when I’m with you”, Tom mouths, rubbing his hands over his face, through that luscious coif of his. It’s so good that we don’t want to spoil it. The segment became so popular that it spawned its own show, the Spike program “Lip Sync Battle“, which debuted this spring.
Through his visceral performance, Cruise’s initial “this is ridiculous” attitude quickly melts away. Fallon followed up with an impressive rendition of the Rolling Stones’ “Undercover of the Night“, in which he nailed Mick Jagger’s famous strut.
But, it was Fallon who busted out a song from one of Cruise’s classic films for his big encore. “So look, instead I’m gonna do something that takes me back to high school, the parking lot, on Friday night”.
Round two certainly did not disappoint, Cruise feigned the most obvious selection, Bob Seger’s “Old Time Rock and Roll“, sliding across the floor via “Risky Business” style.
Meanwhile, Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation has already been getting great reviews. However, the Top Gun star didn’t put on a pair of aviators and strip down to his underwear to prepare for his Lip Sync Battle.
