Robin Williams’ Family Fighting Over his Will
Barely 6 months post Robin Williams’ tragic death, his widow Susan Schneider Williams and his three adult kids, Zack, 31, Zelda, 25, and Cody Williams, 23, are locked in a bitter dispute over the late comedian’s estate.
The Mrs. Doubtfire actor married his third wife Susan Schneider in 2011. Zak is Robin’s son with his 1st wife Valerie Velardi. Zelda and Cody are kids with his ex-wife Marsha Garces Williams. In his will, Robin Williams reportedly designated his £30 million fortune to his family members who are now fighting over it.
The late actor’s kids claim that their stepmother refused to let them in their Tiburon home, following their father’s death and are heartbroken that she is manipulating Robin’s carefully planned will for her advantage. She is attempting to keep the items left to the kids, including jewellery and watch collection. Reportedly, the late Academy award winner left all his movie awards and memorabilia, theatre masks, action figures, graphic novels, including his 1998 Oscar for Good Will Hunting, to his children.
Susan accuses the Mork and Mindy star’s kids of removing items from the home after his death, without her permission. Schneider allegedly wants to keep all the items relating to their marriage, including his wedding tuxedo and other knick knacks. She is also arguing that Robin wanted her to continue staying at their marital home in Tiburon and that he intended his children to only have the personal items he had delineated and were kept at his another home in Napa, California.
Williams committed suicide at his Tiburon, California, home in August last year, aged 63. Susan revealed that the actor was struggling with anxiety and depression, particularly after he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.
After his previously failed marriages that reportedly cost him over $30 million, Williams signed a pre-nup agreement with his third wife Susan Schneider.
