Barbra Streisand duets with ‘Donald Trump’ on The Tonight Show
Streisand has been critical of Trump throughout the presidential campaign, recently making jokes about him during a concerts in Los Angeles and NY.
Streisand is a vocal supporter of presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. Streisand said on “The Tonight Show”. “I can build any wall taller than you”, Fallon sang, referencing Trump’s political promise to build a wall between the United States and Mexico.
“Listen up, Babs”, Fallon’s “Trump” said. It’s a song that’s absurdly familiar to many of us who have grown up on The Sound of Music but it’s given an extra edge when these two voices crescendo over one another. Of course “any wall you can build I can build taller” is a key verse in this version. I don’t know about you but I pretty much swooned on cue.
‘No, she’s going to win and she’s going to win huuuuge!’ retorted Streisand.
At the close of the duet, the Trump wig almost slipped off.
Streisand replied, “I can vote for Hillary!”.
“Do you want to hear about my new campaign manager”, “Trump” asked.
Barbra Streisand made a rare TV appearance on “The Tonight Show” Aug. 25, and boy did she get plenty of airtime.
Between the release of a new album and finally getting her beef with Siri figured out thanks to Tim Cook, everything appears to be coming up Streisand this week.
In this election season of shame and scandal, no one provides levity quite like Barbra Streisand.
