North Korea launches streaming service — Definitely not Netflix
The nation is celebrating its first successful test of a submarine-launched missile.
After a recent, successful submarine-launched ballistic missile, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un says the North can now launch a nuclear attack on the US mainland, no longer threatening just USA allies South Korea and Japan with nuclear weapons.
That sounds like a threat.
“But a former US nuclear negotiator with North Korea, Joel Wit, told PRI the U.S.is not in danger”.
“Because – despite this success – we’re not within striking range of their nuclear weapons”, he said, PRI reported.
As of today, North Korea does not possess the ability to miniaturize their nuclear weapons into a small warhead or launch their missiles beyond a range of 600 miles the report added. The biggest concern, says Wit, is that North Korea is working to develop a working Intercontinental Ballistic Missile, or ICBM.
“At this point for the No. 27 exploration agents I will give you your information technology review assignment for your long-distance university course. On page 509 No. 68, on page 742 No. 69.” the announcer said. Since then North Korea has been sending the messages every two weeks. Up to now, those promises were relatively simple, he says.
North Korea suspended the Cold War-style broadcasts to its spies in the South after June 15, 2000, when South Korean President Kim Dae-jung met with Kim Jong Il in Pyongyang. But Wit said there nevertheless is cause for concern.
The state TV report said that North Koreans would now “be able to see the country making a leap forward every day and every hour through the materials on Manbang”.
