2 missing, plane found after crash in New Orleans lake
Police are still looking for the other passengers, two men.
The airport is located about 16km northeast of downtown New Orleans, Louisiana.
The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the cause of the incident, according to the U.S. Coast Guard.
They say it happened a little before 9:00 on Saturday night, August 27. Her condition was not immediately known.
Divisions with the Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans and local agencies in New Orleans are searching for two men in Lake Pontchartrain after a plane crash Saturday.
Later Sunday, the Coast Guard said it had found the wreckage of the plane, but not the two missing people.
Massey says one female passenger was picked up by a private yacht and transported to Ochsner Hospital. Her condition is unknown.
Coast Guard officials say the Cessna training flight crashed into Lake Ponchatrain about 8:30 p.m.
