SmackDown Recap: The Headbangers Return

“I see Smackdown as the underdog because Raw has been live for so long”.
“WWE Backlash”, the first brand-exclusive PPV event for the “WWE SmackDown Live” brand, is happening in over a week, and all of the stories are being rushed for the big culmination. So what does tonight’s SmackDown have to do to deliver?
Rhyno & Heath Slater vs.
Heath Slater & Rhyno defeated The Headbangers to advance in the Tag Team Titles Tournament when Rhyno gored Thrasher to get the win. Following this confrontation, what else will go down between these two on SmackDown Live?
Nikki Bella was present at the commentary table for the Women’s tag team match.
Finally, Bryan went on to say that the WWE management made a decision to keep Bryan and The Miz separate after their confrontation, which explains why they did not interact at all during SmackDown this week. They handle the fallout from last week’s Talking Smack easily. Bryan took a hiatus from wrestling earlier in the year because his doctors said that he was more susceptible to injury if he continued to fight. So much for the return of the Headbangers. Monday Night Raw, everybody knows exactly what it is and Smackdown being the little brother! And this seems to be continuing to be true. Hence, he will continue dominating the blue brand. We get the aftermaths of Miz’s promo and Carm/Nikki’s double turn, buildup to AJ/Deano, Heath/Rhyno’s first match as a tag team, potential buildup to Bray/Randy, Naomi’s entrance, etc. The two waged war in the best match of the night, but it was Styles that pulled off the win.
