Hybrid Laptop Put On Hold For Microsoft Surface Book 2
Firstly, here is what it is unlikely to be – Do not expect to be watching the Microsoft event in October and seeing them announce the launch of the Surface Phone, as we know too well that the company has made a decision to put more effort in their mobile programme next year instead – therefor the new phone will not see the light of day until 2017.
Earlier this week, Microsoft released a new firmware update for its Surface Pro 3, bringing a fix for battery performance issues on some of those devices.
The smart money would be on the much-romured Surface All-in-One (AIO) device, which looks set to take on Apple and their iMac. Since the release of the highly successful and well-reviewed Surface Pro 4, fans of the tech giant’s premium line of devices have been waiting for the next iterations of the powerful machines.
Microsoft also uses the ad to highlight the versatility of the Surface Pro 4, which includes a stylus pen and can run a number of Windows apps such as Microsoft Office.
MacBook Pro 2016 will be thinner and lighter but leak specifications suggest that Surface Book 2 will undergo major redesign making it slimmer and sexier than Surface Book 1.
As for the mysterious device corresponding to the empty slot in Microsoft’s building 88, speculations are high that the slot might be meant for the Surface Book 2.
Microsoft released a very important update for both the Surface Pro 4 and the Surface Book. Do you think a Surface phone would work?
Reports are saying that the Surface Book 2 may come with Intel’s seventh-generation Kaby Lake processor, which will support three-dimensional and 4K outputs. The Surface Pro 4 was launched last October; thus, it would make sense if Microsoft would at least announce the Surface Pro 5 in the same month this year.
It is believed that Microsoft might offer their Surface Phone with a few spec options just like the Surface tablets.
