Samsung Gear A specs and features confirmed ahead of launch
With some interesting new features and specs, there have been quite a speculation around the smartwatch.
We have seen the Samsung Gear A specs leak numerous times, so we already have a great idea of what to expect from Sammy’s new wearable. Users will also be able to dismiss or snooze alarms, skip music tracks, accept or reject calls, and end active calls.
At the conference, Sammobile reported that it was also confirmed that the smartwatch will have a round body and a touch screen with a resolution of 360 x 360 pixels. The wearable device, which is being referred to by insiders as “Orbis”, is assumed to be officially unveiled alongside the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus this Aug.12. The rotatable bezel, or a term for the metallic outlines around the watch face, will be used to navigate the interface easier and zoom in and out of photos.
Other previously rumoured specifications for the Gear A include a dual-core Exynos 3472 SoC, 768MB of RAM, 4GB of storage and a little 250mAh battery. This watch will also have Wi-Fi 802.11n and Bluetooth 4.1 for connectivity goal. This smartwatch of Samsung will also have some sensors for heart rate monitoring, Global Positioning System navigation, gyro and barometer.
