Woman Sets Ex’s Car On Fire, Realizes Her Mistake
A 19-year-old Florida woman has been arrested for arson after she set a auto on fire, mistakenly believing it was her ex-boyfriend’s.
According to a video released by Newsy, Carmen Chamblee was captured on surveillance video setting the Honda Accord’s trunk on fire on August 27.
Chamblee said she believed the vehicle belong to her ex boyfriend, according to the police. Witnesses say they saw her ride away from the scene on a bicycle.
19-year old Carmen Chamblee was arrested on arson charges after police say she set fire to a vehicle she thought belonged to her ex-boyfriend.
“I have no idea who she is”, the automobile owner Thomas Jennings told local station WFTS. He told WFTS it was his roommate who discovered the auto completely engulfed in flames.
Look, if you’re going to light someone’s auto on fire for revenge, you better make sure it’s the right vehicle.
“So we immediately ran out there”. He had a pot of water trying to get it to go out.
Chamblee was taken to the Pinellas County Jail.
She was scheduled to appear in front of a judge the next day.
