Single mom makes sure son doesn’t miss “Donuts with Dad”

Vasquez told KDFW she was nervous about the reaction to her going to the school dressed like a man, but she is glad she did it and is overjoyed by the many positive comments she received.

A single mom went above and beyond during a Donuts with Dad event at her son’s school in an attempt to make sure the boy didn’t feel left out.

Her post on Facebook has gone viral; it has over 15,000 likes in under a week and more than 5,500 shares.

Vasquez shared the finished look and pictures from the event on Facebook. “Is there some event that I’m supposed to be here for”? and he tells me, ‘No, don’t worry.

Nothing can stand in the way of this single mother’s love for her child ― not even a father’s-only breakfast.

FORT WORTH, Texas- She is one cool mom.

“All I was doing was being a parent for my son”, said Vasquez, who has two other sons, ages 9 and 6.

Former Fox News anchor Gretchen Carlson said Tuesday she was “gratified” that a settlement had been made in her sexual harassment lawsuit against her boss, Roger Ailes.

“I saw that same, sad look on his face, and I didn’t want that”, she told CNN.

The mother said that she plans on “definitely being there” for Elijah during the school’s upcoming “Muffins with Moms” event.

She says most of the dads supported her response.
