Narcos to continue, third and fourth season announced
The show, which follows the war between Colombian drug cartel leader Pablo Escobar and the DEA, has had rave reviews for its first season and the second season was highly anticipated.
“This show is about the choice [the US made] about the war on drugs – to deal with it as if it were a problem of supply”, executive producer Jose Padilha told Variety.
Ahead of the premiere of season two, Newman, the third showrunner on the drama, shared that viewers would see the death of Escobar and Moura’s exit, prompting questions over whether the series would continue without its star.
With the release of its second season just days ago, Netflix has confirmed the next story of the popular series, Narcos. But they can not stop it as long as there is the demand.

“Narcos” season 3 is bound to be another excitement installment of the hit Netflix series.
Entertainment Weekly (EW) reported the possibility of a shift in focus. “I’ll go as long as they’ll let me go”, Newman said. Newman told EW that they still have to look into Peña’s role in the Drug Enforcement Administration operation involving the Cali Cartel, and what he did to take it down. “That’s our pact with America”, Newman added.
