All low-end iPads upgraded to 32GB from 16GB

If you’ve got an iPhone 5s, 5, 5c, or SE, you can trade in your device and get a 32GB iPhone 7 for $250. For the iPhone 6s, the 32GB tier is priced at $549.00 while the 128GB tier is priced at $649.00. If you don’t mind laying out the money for a new iPhone 7 in advance, T-Mobile, AT&T and Sprint are giving you the opportunity to get that money back in two years. It isn’t just the headphone jack that Apple dismissed at its iPhone 7 launch.

A similar change has taken place in Germany, where the iPhone 7 will start at €759 and the iPhone 7 Plus at €899. Apple has chose to increase the prices of its new flagships compared to the previous generation, with the bump likely triggered by the USA dollar’s gains against the Euro and British Pound. Wednesday’s event may have been all about the iPhone and the Apple Watch but Apple has also been busy tinkering with the iPad.

With the new iPhones, Apple finally paid heed to the complaints of its customers and did away with 16GB internal memory variant – which means that the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus variants come with a minimum 32GB internal memory. But despite the upgrade in storage capacity, Apple hasn’t raised the starting price for either model: both the Air 2 and the Mini 4 start at $399. The larger 12.9-inch model also went up from £679 to £729.
