Brad Pitt questions Donald Trump’s intentions
‘What does he even mean, take our country back? He said that he feels like people who suffer the most end up betting or the party that would hurt them.
His propositions, such as saying that he is fed up with how hard the life is in the U.S.is, has made people attracted to that rather than the conventional candidate, which is Democratic presidential nominee, Hillary Clinton. “Would someone please explain that to me?.Where’d it go?” He said we’re a global neighborhood now and are starting to understand each other more.
“You gotta understand”, he says, “that it’s also in our DNA”.
Pitt goes on to say that many Americans are just “trying to make the rent, get the kids fed, they’re exhausted when they get home and they want to forget about everything”. ‘Most Americans don’t have time to watch CNN and Fox and Al Jazeera. However, referring again to both Brexit and #Donald Trump, he says there is still this push for separation and isolation in the world.
Pitt said that he is reminded of a quote from his 2015 film The Big Short, about the 2008 global financial crisis, when considering Trump supporters: “When things are going wrong and we can’t find the reason for it, we just start creating enemies”, he said, citing illegal immigrants as an example. “Where’d it go?” he added.
In May, Mr Pitt’s actress wife Angelina Jolie urged British voters to remain in the EU. “The actress-turned-director previously slammed Trump for his anti-Muslim remarks back in May”. “And so I try to understand where they’re coming from”.
The Midwestern A-lister – who four years ago disavowed his mother Jane’s widely-publicized comments in favor of then-presidential candidate Mitt Romney, and against gay marriage – said he’s done his best to come to terms on the culture clashes within the nation. And yet a large part of their chat, which T magazine arranged for its September issue, was shooting the breeze on politics.
One thing that seems to be a constant theme this election is confusion over the appeal of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.
Brad Pitt is still reeling from Britain’s decision to exit the European Union.
