ITT Technical Institute faces more lawsuits over shutdown

The ban came after the company had been investigated in multiple states for fraud and predatory lending practices. Officials are, however, offering two steps for those thousands of students affected.

The second step is for those about to graduate. The University is committed to assisting students wishing to transfer to Athens State to complete their education.

It’s the start of the school year, yet there was no activity outside of the Liverpool campus of ITT Technical Institute.

Legal experts said it’s anyone’s guess whether the complaints filed against ITT would hold up in court.

Pacific University is reaching out to former ITT students.

“The school’s decisions have put its students and millions of dollars in taxpayer-funded federal student aid at risk”, it read. Bracing for lawsuits, the education department has required ITT to increase its cash reserves. “I can’t imagine the anxiety and uncertainly of being prepared to attend classes this fall, and then your school is forced to close. SI wouldn’t want to stand by and let the ITT students, who would be a flawless match for Syracuse University, University college, lose out on an opportunity because of issues they had no control over”. “Students can also view our website, www.itt-tech.edu, for additional information and questions”.

Wayland’s Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) degree program is uniquely created to maximize the amount of transfer credit available for work experience, job training and other education. They could, however, apply for what’s called a “borrower defense to repayment” cancellation. Both programs have online or in-person options for classes. It’s based on what curriculum you were following at ITT.
