Models Were ‘Dropping Like Flies’ At Kanye’s NYFW Show

Criticism for Kanye West’s “multiracial women” casting call was apparently a foreshadowing of the disaster that would be the Yeezy Season 4 fashion show.

Despite these purist intentions, initial reports about the show, which took place in Four Freedoms Park on Roosevelt Island, sounded more Zoolander than utilitarian.

According to the New York Post, models were stumbling on the runway because of poorly-designed stilettos and one model reportedly fainted in the heat with no assistance from West’s camp.

Difficulties aside, Kanye still received a lot of supportfrom his friends and family, including Kim Kardashian, Kendall and KylieJenner, plus her boyfriend Tyga.

Other guests, who were specifically invited by the rapper, moaned that they were not given any snacks or water on the buses.

In one Instagram video taken by a fashion writer for the New York Observer, a model in a black coat nearly falls over as her heels snap on the runway.

Speaking of models, several of Yeezy’s handpicked runway strutters were seen having a tough time walking in their high-heeled shoes.

“Her heel broke”, Jenner tweeted.

Like previous seasons, Kanye presented a collection full of military-inspired pieces in a neutral color palette that included tight-fighting dresses, leggings, draped sweaters, and oversized outerwear. “I can go there most often, check in, get the vibe”. Revealing that he’s planning to open up 200 Yeezy stores in the next year, Kanye mentions that he wants his first Yeezy location in California since he now lives there.

Another Tweeter said: “They’re still standing at Yeezy”.

“Let’s say ‘apparel, ‘ especially for the style of clothes I make”.

One piece of advice: maybe check out the weather forecast before you plan a fashion show next time, Kanye?
