On Russia-backed TV network, Trump doubts Russian influence
Earlier in September, US Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton blasted Russian Federation for allegedly meddling in the US election in favor of Trump, citing “credible reports” that, she claimed, link Moscow to the Democratic National Committee (DNC) email dump by WikiLeaks. “Because that would not be appropriate at all”.
“I think it’s inarguable that Vladimir Putin has been a stronger leader in his country than Barack Obama has been in this country”, Pence said on CNN.
She said it’s disturbing how much Trump praises Putin and “approve [s] of his wish list”. And the appearance on Russian television suggested no hesitation from Trump to dive into the controversy.
The Trump campaign has since tried to distance itself from the RT interview, saying that Trump did it for a podcast and as a “favor” to King.
Russian officials have denied accusations that they were involved in the hack, calling the rumors “absurd”. Asked by King if he agreed with Putin’s assessment, Trump declined to pass judgment. I don’t know anything about it. You tell me: “Who hacked?” Period”, Trump said. “But once we went in, Larry, we shouldn’t have gotten out the way we got out. “I have absolutely no opinion on that”.
A foreign policy and defense hawk who was among 17 Repubilcan candidates for president a year ago, Graham said he might not agree with Obama on most issues, but suggesting he is weaker than Putin is a step too far. “I’d rather it be Hillary and myself, because we’re the only two with a chance of winning”.
King’s program is “produced and owned entirely by Ora Media, LLC., which is exclusively responsible for their editorial direction”, Dana Steere, a representative of the firm, said in a statement. In June 2015, Ora announced it was dropping plans to work on a television project with Trump following his controversial remarks about undocumented Mexican immigrants.
