Titanfall: Frontline Announced For Mobile
To follow the progress of Titanfall Frontline, you can check out the game’s Facebook and Twitter accounts for more info.
The game was built in collaboration with Respawn and mobile gaming companies Nexon and Particle City.
Titanfall: Frontline is a strategy card game where players, becoming brigade commanders, battle each other in real-time. It looks a bit like other digital card games such as Hearthstone, but with towering robotic mechs and gun-wielding pilots in place of fantasy creatures. Titanfall: Frontline is itself expected to launch this fall – probably alongside the main sequel itself. It should be fun to play in that universe without dying every 15 seconds and being the worst player on my team every game. “Titanfall: Frontline is just the beginning of the incredible stand-alone mobile sci-fi experiences based on the Titanfall universe we’re looking to bring to gamers around the world”. Frontline will be the first game in a multi-game, multi-year partnership between Respawn Entertainment, Nexon, and Particle City to exclusively publish mobile games set in the Titanfall universe.
As you’d suspect, the cards you can collect through gameplay are themed after the titular Titan robots as well as Pilots, weapons and Burn Cards.
Pilots, Titans, and Burn Cards will be used to strategically take down opponents’ health pools, while players can upgrade their units and build decks of their own.
Founded in 2010, Respawn Entertainment is an independent videogame development studio based in Van Nuys, California.
No word on a specific release date, but you can register on the game’s website to be kept in the loop about when you can start playing it. Nexon pioneered the free-to-play business model with the concept of microtransactions, revolutionizing the onli.
