The campaign initially attempted to downplay the incident saying that it was merely a bout of dehydration but as social media started to storm about her potential inability to continue as a candidate her campaign provided a more detailed release explaining that she had been diagnosed with pneumonia. Clinton was taking antibiotics and had become overheated and dehydrated while at the September 11 ceremony. Clinton takes Coumadin, the brand name for the blood thinner warfarin.
He told the Times that Clinton was feeling “overheated” during the 9/11 ceremony at Ground Zero, where morning temperatures were in the high 70s with high humidity.
