Anderson Cooper Grills Clinton Over Lack of Transparency on Her Health
There was no word from the campaign on whether Clinton would go ahead with plans to campaign in the Las Vegas area Wednesday, or whether she might campaign closer to home Monday and Tuesday.
“Something’s going on, but I just hope she gets well and gets back on the trail, and we’ll be seeing her at the debate”, he said.
She told CNN’s “Anderson Cooper 360” that despite doctor’s orders to rest for five days, she thought she could “just keep going forward and power through it and that didn’t work out so well”.
Asked whether she fainted, Clinton replied: “No, I didn’t”.
“But once I got in, once I could sit down, once I could cool off, once I had some water, I immediately started feeling better”. Aides are promising to release more of her medical records following her bout of pneumonia and conceding they were too slow in providing information about her condition.
Former President Bill Clinton says Hillary Clinton has a history of occasionally becoming severely dehydrated and suffering “the same sort of thing” she experienced when she stumbled leaving an event Sunday.
Just one day after Hillary Clinton appeared to faint as she exited the 9/11 memorial ceremony in NY, an attendee at a Donald Trump rally in appeared to do the same. However, following the medical scare, Fallon said she made a decision to release more details regarding her health.
Trump, 70, has said Clinton is “not strong enough to be president” and that she “lacks the mental and physical stamina” for the job. He added that if there are more health problems that caused her apparent weakness, “then it’s a mystery to me and all of her doctors”. They revealed that much of her team had also fallen ill with pneumonia, and acknowledged they could have handled Clinton’s illness better. There was little shade where Clinton was standing alongside other dignitaries. I felt overheated. I decided that I did need to leave.
Despite Clinton’s pneumonia diagnosis, she had a whirlwind schedule Friday that included a two-hour working meeting on national security, and a sit-down interview.
“Hillary believes she’s above the law”, Trump said. Clinton exited the building on her own, wearing sunglasses and carrying a handbag.
“I’m feeling great”, she reporters as she walked from her daughter’s building to her vehicle and stopping to pose for a picture with a child. “It’s a lovely day in NY”.
In his first public comments since Clinton abruptly left Sunday’s Ground Zero ceremony, an unusually subdued Trump offered her his wishes for a rapid recovery. That was a mistake, Fallon said.
“Secretary Clinton will not be traveling to California tomorrow or Tuesday”, spokesman Nick Merrill said, hours after the 68-year-old candidate abruptly left the Ground Zero memorial in NY suffering from dehydration. Clinton’s doctor, Lisa R. Barback, later came to her home and conducted an examination.
Her Republcian rival Donald Trump has urged Mrs Clinton to release her medical records following a string of public incidents. “And my daughter lives nearby, so I went over to her apartment and, you know, spent time with her and my grandchildren which is the best medicine for anything in life”, she said. Clinton later said she regretted applying that description to “half” of Trump’s backers, but stuck by her assertion that the GOP nominee has given a platform to “hateful views and voices”. Late Sunday evening, she canceled a California campaign swing scheduled for early this week.
