Dem Senate Candidate Strickland: Kaine Ready To Become The President If Necessary
Her physician’s Friday diagnosis was made public Sunday after Clinton abruptly left a September 11 memorial service in New York City and was captured on video almost falling as Secret Service helped her into a vehicle.
Speaking at a high school in Dayton, Ohio, Kaine noted that Clinton has been campaigning for 18 months, while he only joined the ticket in late July. “We ask that you would bless her”, said the Rev. Damon Lynch Jr., pastor of New Jerusalem Baptist Church in Carthage.
That, coupled with the coughing fit, have played into Republican nominee Donald Trump’s description of Mrs. Clinton lacking the stamina necessary to serve as president, even though she’s slightly younger than he is. Mrs. Clinton later apologized for using such a broad generalization of “half”, but she, and Mr. Kaine again today, defended the message behind her statement.
The comments come amid Clinton’s absence from the campaign trail, following a pneumonia diagnosis and a health scare on Sunday. The current average shows the former Secretary of State leading by two points in OH, making the state as critical as ever to both parties’ strategies to win the White House.
“The first time I talked to Hillary about this was Sunday, so I’ll just say it like that”, Kaine said.
“(Mrs. Clinton ) was immediately responding back and joking around.”, he told them. Video captured by an onlooker caught Clinton staggering and being held up by aides as she tried to get into a van. “I have a hard time keeping up”.
Questions about Clinton’s health have started to take hold with some voters.
“I obviously knew from Monday, when she was coughing, that she had a cough, and it was likely an allergy”, Kaine said. Kissinger once said reveal it all, because it will keep dripping out endlessly.
The Clinton campaign contends that under her proposal, once fully phased in as of 2021, 150,000 OH students from families earning up to $125,000 would pay no tuition toward a four-year college degree from in-state public colleges and universities.
But Marybeth Freiberger, 66, Vandalia, wasn’t concerned. She is scheduled to meet Trump in the first of three presidential debates on September 26. But then she had a very busy week. I think that anybody going that many days, weeks sometimes it just catches up with you. She’s on antibiotics. She’ll get better.
Former Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland, in a race for the U.S. Senate against incumbent Sen. “I think that is part of her political enemies’ attempt to conjure up a rumor that could hurt her politically”.

In Trump’s case, a doctor released a letter attesting to his health, but no other information has been disclosed, media reports say.
Clinton has cancelled a planned West Coast swing after being diagnosed with pneumonia. The goal would allow as many as 150,000 Ohioans to attend an in-state public institution tuition free, he said.
Kaine did not outline specifics on how it would be paid.
