Arizona Cardinals Color Rush Uniforms are Here and They Are Awesome
While the Jets are scheduled to have their first official whiteout when they host the Seattle Seahawks in Week 4, the team will don all-white uniforms Thursday night when they collide with the Bills in Western New York.
This season, color-rush uniforms are mandatory, and rather than go all green with the current home jersey or all gold with the regular trousers, the Packers are going with all white.
As much as I hate color rush uniforms, these are pretty sweet. Here’s a look at the uniforms for each National Football League team.
New Orleans will wear all-white uniforms for its Thursday night appearance on the road against Carolina on November 17, making the Saints one of six teams to opt for all-white uniforms rather than choosing one of their team colors. The Cowboys’ uniform is similar to the 2015 version, only without stripes on the trousers. The New York Jets vs. Buffalo Bills game was hard for colorblind viewers to watch as they could not distinguish one team from the other; the Jets wore all green while the Bills wore all red.
The Giants Color Rush alternate jerseys have finally been confirmed.
The NFL unveiled Tuesday morning its Color Rush initiative, which began last season with eight teams but was expanded in 2016 to include every team appearing in a Thursday night game. Last season teams wore monochrome jerseys, which caused some problems for viewers that were colorblind.
What’s peculiar for now is that it looks like both the Patriots and Texans are both promoted as wearing navy-on-navy uniforms (Houston is fourth from the left). The Color Rush program is expected to continue in future seasons and any club not wearing their Color Rush uniform on the field this year will have the opportunity to do so in future seasons. The Packers and Lions collectively chose not to wear the uniforms during their game on December 3.
