Ticker: USA hoops teammates tell Kevin Durant to give gold a rest

Draymond Green was so desperate to get Kevin Durant to sign with the Golden State Warriors earlier this summer that he wonders if his constant recruiting led to Durant losing respect for him.

Speaking with Conan O’Brien on Conan, Green said Durant has been extra boastful wearing his goal medal constantly.

“KD had his on at the Monday Night Football game (between Washington and Pittsburgh), and we still have our group chat on”, Green said on Conan O’Brien.

According to Green, he and the rest of his teammates shamed Durant in their group text so much that he has finally made a decision to stop wearing it out in public.

His teammates were talking in a group chat and apparently told him to calm down with showing off so much. Like what are you doing?

Conan O’Brien asked Green where does he keep his medal won by Team USA in the Rio Olympics last month? “Give it a break”.

I get it though, a gold medal arguably the most impressive trophy on the entire planet. Can’t say I wouldn’t do the same.
