Filling in for wife, Bill Clinton flubs Hillary diagnosis
Bill Clinton replaced his recovering wife on the campaign trail Wednesday with a speech in North Las Vegas, urging the crowd at the College of Southern Nevada to reject a “road rage” mentality and win over Donald Trump supporters with kindness. Her doctors later announced she had been diagnosed with pneumonia last week, which Clinton did not publicly disclose.
Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton is “doing fine” after her abrupt departure from a memorial event last weekend, former President Bill Clinton assured journalist Charlie Rose on Monday.
“This proposal is a P.R. gimmick created to distract from the mounting Clinton Foundation controversies and amounts to the Clintons launching a fire sale on influence-buying before the November election”, said campaign spokesman Jason Miller.

The Clinton Foundation funds and operates a long list of worldwide health and climate change initiatives – including providing two-thirds of the world’s HIV/AIDS treatment access. Hillary Clinton joined its board after leaving the U.S. State Department in 2013 but stepped down past year to seek the presidency. “Requesting a courtesy meeting, when I was secretary of HHS, for instance, by a Republican senator, was not unusual”.
“In a state that is more closely contested than California, the Johnson and Stein candidacies have a potential to cause a problem for Clinton”, poll director Dan Schnur, who heads USC’s Jesse M. Unruh Institute of Politics, told The Times.
The Clintons are hosting a ritzy fundraiser on Friday night to raise money for the Clinton Foundation, while also belatedly celebrating Bill Clinton’s 70th birthday, Politico reported Wednesday night.
Hillary Clinton spoke with CNN’s Anderson Cooper on her dehydration episodes, noting that they happened “really only twice that I can recall”, in an apparent response to rumors that she’s in bad shape for the presidency.
