Belkin adapter lets you charge iPhone 7 with headphones plugged in
The iPhone 7 comes out in stores on September 16.
Belkin’s new adapter is a Lightning port splitter, meaning it turns your iPhone’s single Lightning port into two. No wonder Apple is keeping an upgraded iPhone 6S around; it appears to have already realized that for a large portion of the user base, the iPhone 7 is simply a defective product.
In place of the venerable 3.5mm port, Apple proposes two alternatives. What does that mean?
The rumors about iPhone’s new camera were somewhat true. And for months people have been speculating that Apple would offer headphones that use the Lightning cable as one solution to the iPhone-without-a-headphone-jack problem. The only caveat you’ll face with this dock is that you won’t be able to charge and listen to music at the same time if you’re using Apple’s new lightning EarPods, as there is no additional lightning connector for the headphones in the dock. Trading in your old iPhone can garner you about $250 to $300, depending on the make and model, shaving some dollars off that price.
I use Bluetooth headphones. “They fixed Bluetooth headsets”, said tech analyst Patrick Moorhead, of Moor Insights & Strategy, after trying a pair. So if you’re unwilling to cut the cord, you don’t actually have to.
They are worth every penny, but also a a wired headset. AirPods will be available in late October for $159.

They’re wireless – you don’t need to plug them in. Simply flip open the cover. Notably, the W1 chip inside Apple’s AirPods are said to be extremely power-efficient. In order to access Siri, all you have to do is double-tap an AirPod in either ear and Siri will be at your beck and call.
Meanwhile, the iPhone for the first time will have stereo speakers, a feature that will be welcomed by the kind of oblivious jerks who walk around with their phone’s sound turned on.
The iPhone 7 may not have been revolutionary, but analysts believe there’s enough to encourage existing customers to upgrade their phones and even convert some Android users, which might ultimately curb Apple’s declining sales.
“Generally speaking, I am kind of disappointed with the iPhone 7 series”. The updated sensors, according to Apple, are now 60% faster and 30% more efficient. Apple is also donating iPads to more than 50,000 students through its role in the ConnectedED national education initiative. There are also new Beats headphones.
Apple also launched the Apple Watch Series 2, which includes built-in Global Positioning System and faster processors.
As mentioned earlier, AirPods have all sorts of interesting technology buried underneath the hood.
Maybe? Stay tuned for the Business Insider review in the next few weeks. However, another report points out that Apple may have pulled off the devices from the site, but will continue to sell in retail stores. The price hasn’t been announced yet.
As its name suggests, the device is simply a Lightning port splitter.
Why. why would Apple do this?
