Senate approves bill for water projects; millions for Flint

Several minutes into Trump’s remarks at Bethel United Methodist Church on Wednesday, she reminded the Manhattan billionaire that the event was meant to focus on the water-crisis recovery in Flint, where state cost-cutting measures resulted in lead contamination in the city’s water supply.

Trump thought that the interruption by Timmons was probably pre-planned and said “she had that in mind, there’s no question about it”.

Donald Trump said “something was up” with Rev. Faith Green Timmons, the pastor who interrupted him to ask him not to attack Hillary Clinton in her church in Flint, Michigan on Wednesday.

The one-page letter from his longtime doctor, Harold N. Bornstein, says that Trump takes a statin, a drug for lowering cholesterol, and has a body mass index in the overweight range.

“They had plans to make it a little more than they originally said and I said, ‘No, you’re going to stick to the original plan, ‘” Timmons told reporters on Wednesday.

“He called her a nervous mess – that’s not only insulting, it’s dead wrong”, Clinton said Thursday, according to news reports. “And Flint deserves better”, Clinton said in Greensboro, North Carolina.

“Something was up, because I noticed she was so nervous when she introduced me”, Trump said on Fox News. “Rev. Faith Green Timmons is not a nervous mess”. “I’ll tell you what made me feel good, the audience was saying let him speak, let him speak, and the audience was so great, and these are mostly African-American people, phenomenal people, and they want to see change”. He also visited Flint’s water treatment plant. “You came here to welcome our workers and thank them for what they have done and that’s what he stuck to”.

Those present at the event have contradicted his version of events, and have stated that an audience chant of “let him speak” did not occur.

Also in his Fox and Friends interview, he touched on how not only is the water an issue in Flint, but so is the crime rate. “What do you have to lose?”

Trump insisted on Fox that those at the church had been welcoming.
