Vin Diesel wants to resurrect Paul Walker for more Fast & Furious films
It’s been said by numerous actors involved that the cast and crew of The Fast and the Furious film franchise have grown together as a family, a sentiment proven with the raw emotions displayed upon the passing of Paul Walker.
It seems “Fast & Furious 7” might not have given us our last glimpse of the late Paul Walker’s character after all. “It was his money, he went out, he got his hands dirty, and he’s not here anymore to do that, so my goal, my family’s goal, is to keep this going on forever, for as long as we can. He tried. We’d see him on set, we visited a few times, but to kind of get that closure, and understanding [of] Paul was really special”.
The Fast and Furious actor has posted a number of Facebook Live video’s today to raise awareness for Paul Walker’s charity, Reach Out Worldwide.
“Paul kept a lot of things about work kind of quiet with his family and friends, and so we were able to learn some things through [his co-stars]”, he added.
“Paul was very very instrumental in my segue into fatherhood”, the 49-year-old actor explained.
“When we were in the cars in between takes, he would tell me, “Hey, Vin, it’s not a scary thing to become a father” (and) give me all the good advice”, he continued.
Caleb revealed that he spoke to Vin on the phone as the actor wanted the family’s blessings.
The brothers reiterated that both Vin Diesel and Universal Pictures have an enormous respect for the Walker family, so they wouldn’t want to proceed with anything involving his character without the blessing of both Caleb and Cody Walker and the rest of the family. Speaking on Walker’s 18-year-old daughter, Meadow, Cody said she’s doing much better these days. “So we’re very protective of her”.
