Texans different team than in playoff loss to Chiefs

Houston got a 23-14 victory over the Chicago Bears. Last week, Osweiler showed he was capable of leading an National Football League offense – at least for one game – in throwing for 231 yards and two touchdowns in his debut with Houston. The Chiefs defense, which has been their calling card the past few seasons, didn’t do anything spectacular last week, only registering 1 sack the entire game while allowing 27 points and 388 yards of total offense, putting the Chiefs in the bottom-10 for defense after week 1. The Chiefs last season won a playoff game for the first time since after the 1993 season – 22 years.

DeAndre Hopkins had 113 yards receiving and a touchdown and Nick Novak kicked four field goals, helping the Houston Texans to a 19-12 win over the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. That victory over the Texans was the Chiefs’ first playoff win in over 20 years.
The Texans committed somewhat of a coup this offseaon when they signed former Denver Bronco and free agent Brock Osweiler to a $72-million free-agent contract.
Kansas City is facing a much better defense this week, than last week.
Factoring in the performance were three starters who were ramping up to game speed.
Kansas City is 3-2 against the Texans in Houston.
The Chiefs looked like they were headed for disaster in Week 1.
The Chiefs also will be without their two starting offensive guards against the Texans. Watt also gave him the game ball. It will be interesting to see if he and the team can carry that momentum with them to Houston.
Last week, the Charges (a lesser team) exposed some early flaws in the Chiefs on both sides of the ball. Their next drive came to an abrupt end when running back Spencer Ware fumbled on the tail end of a 9-yard run.
Houston really dominated the Bears, despite only the nine point win. In his first National Football League game, Fuller grabbed five passes for 107 yards and a touchdown.
To their credit, the Chiefs pass defense did a solid job in Week 1 against San Diego, but they benefited from the Keenan Allen injury which made things much easier for Eric Berry and Co.in the secondary.
