Jimmy Kimmel’s mom makes 7000 PB&J sandwiches for the entire Emmys audiece

Host Jimmy Kimmel tried to recreate Ellen DeGeneres’ free pizza moment at the 2014 Oscars by giving out peanut butter and jelly sandwiches during Sunday’s Emmys.

The “give food out to celebs at an awards show” stunt is growing overdone.

They then quickly popped back into their Stranger Things characters with a quick costume change and delivered PB&J sandwiches to the hungry crowd by bike. Empire star Taraji P. Henson eagerly raised her hand.

Kimmel figured the stars would be hungry “after not having eaten since Labor Day”, so he made a decision to deputize his mom to prepare thousands of peanut butter and grape jelly sandwiches on wheat bread. “Have fun tonight! Win or lose, your mom will always love you. Bring back Parks and Rec” … which Kimmel proceeded to take away and hand to Amy Poehler.
