Rodgers wants Packers to clean up offense after opening win
This was not the 2014 offense by any stretch, but it was an improvement from last year’s debacle.
He helped the Packers win their second opener in the last five years. Florida is a long way from Green Bay, Wisconsin, but you wouldn’t have known it if you were Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who threw for two touchdowns (and heard some roars) in the 27-23 win.
The NFL Week 1 match-up between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Green Bay Packers will air live from EverBank Field in Jacksonville, Florida.
Running back T.J. Yeldon had a rushing touchdown for the Jaguars but finished the game with 39 yards on 21 carries.
Rodgers was far from done. Ramsey was hanging onto Rodgers’ jersey, but the two-time MVP QB got enough on the pass for it to reach the goal line, where Adams made a diving catch with former Packers cornerback Davon House draped all over him.
It begins today: Jordy Nelson’s return to football games that mean something, after waiting more than 600 days for such a game.
The pass to Robinson went for 22 yards and saw the ball squirt loose when safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix landed a square hit, but Robinson managed to recover and continue the Jaguars’ drive. Gus Bradley’s side added a field goal to go ahead, but the Packers notched up their second touchdown of the game midway through the second quarter.
Rodgers tried to remedy the mix-up by calling another timeout, but consecutive timeouts aren’t allowed and it resulted in a costly delay-of-game penalty. I don’t really play the what-if game, but, yeah, we’d be sitting here 0-1 and it would (stink), especially having played a full 60 minutes.

The Packers were on the road against the Jacksonville Jaguars. “Don’t worry guys. I will keep him ready”, Bundchen posted to Instagram.
The game started out a little slow for Cowboys rookie quarterback.
Meanwhile, in an interview with NBC’s Matt Lauer, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said “yes” when asked whether he felt he got the Brady-centred Deflategate issue 100% right.
What did we find out about both clubs on Sunday? “We had an independent investigation”, Goodell said. “Blake gave me a ton of opportunities to make a play”. Even with a very solid game from the offensive line, Rodgers shined as he maneuvered through the pocket, extending and making a multitude of plays.
Via Twitter, the NFLPA said it will seek a compliance investigation and the National Football League then said in a statement it would also conduct a review of how the medical team responded. That’s one we should have won and everyone in this locker room truly feels that way, that we should have won that game. “When (people) look back, no one’s going to say, ‘They only lost by whatever.’ The only thing they’re going to see is an ‘L'”.
