Team 17 Announces Worms WMD For Xbox One

Worms 4 will be launching on iOS, while Worms WMD is slated for Xbox One and PC.

Worms WMD features a fresh, brand new look 2D cartoon-inspired worm as well as gorgeous hand drawn landscapes. It will be out for Xbox One and PC in 2016, and will be on show at gamescom next weekend.

The Worms series has been around for 20 years, since the 1995 launch of Worms, and has seen 20 main-series games and a number of spinoffs released over that time. Meanwhile, you can check out screens and art for both games in the gallery below (the image above comes from Worms WMD). It’ll also feature an 80-mission single-player campaign, support for local and online multiplayer, and a new faction element that allows two teams to battle it out every 24 hours to earn bonus rewards.

We’re not sure how many of you guys remember the Worms franchise from back in the day. Team17 publishes games for PC, console, mobile and handheld devices and other digital platforms.
