Donald Trump on Thursday released a one-page letter from his doctor reviewing his health and laboratory results.
The campaign released the information publicly rather than having the candidate brandish it before a celebrity doctor.
Trump’s campaign appeared to refer to that episode when it said Trump “has the stamina to endure – uninterrupted – the rigors” of the campaign and presidency.
Tim Kaine, Clinton’s vice-presidential nominee, joined the fray on Tuesday: “If you cannot call out bigotry, if you cannot call out racism, xenophobia, if you can’t call it out and you stand back and you’re silent about it, you’re enabling it to grow”.
Until Thursday, the only information on Trump’s health had come in a widely ridiculed letter from his doctor declaring he would be the healthiest person to ever serve as president.
