Father/stepfather kills 4 children, critically injures biological mother, police say
A man who public records show lives at the location of a quadruple homicide in Dearborn Heights has previously served time in prison for second-degree murder.
In 1991, Green stabbed his pregnant wife to death then called police to the Detroit home, according to the Department of Corrections.
A man called police early Wednesday morning and said that he had murdered his children and step children.
The auto where the man’s children, a 4-year-old girl and a 6-year-old boy, were asphyxiated was parked outside the home and had a hose hooked to the exhaust that was routed into the vehicle, Krause said. The mother was also shot and attacked at the residence.
It is not clear which children are the suspect’s biological children, and which are his stepchildren.
The woman, whose age wasn’t immediately available, is in critical condition, Krause said.
Police in the city of Dearborn Heights responded to the family around 1am Wednesday and took a suspect into custody.

Neighbors described the family as quiet. Police say the man was the father of some of the children and a stepfather to others.
