Meanwhile, Courtney B Vance was named outstanding actor in a limited series for his portrayal of defence lawyer Johnnie Cochran, beating co-star Cuba Gooding Jr who played OJ Simpson. Nominated actress Sarah Paulson brought Simpson prosecutor Marcia Clark as her date.
