Sony Xperia XZ Launching Stateside Next Month for $699.99
Ultimately, how easy it is to enable the fingerprint sensor will be up to Sony when the device hits the States, but the fact remains that nearly all signs at this point indicate that a fingerprint sensor will be present, but will also likely be disabled by default. Well, the timing isn’t particularly right as Google is launching its own new android phones. The Sony Xperia XZ has been enjoying some popularity in some territories and now it will be available in the US along with the Xperia X Compact. Sony’s handsets will support GSM networks, which is to say AT&T, T-Mobile, and their MVNOs, but not Sprint or Verizon. With the upcoming Xperia XZ having a fingerprint sensor present, the speculation is that this one will meet the same fate as other Xperia models in the United States and find its fingerprint sensor disabled on the software side when it hits the US. Both smartphones come with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, with the Xperia XZ coming with an additional 64GB variant.
The American market will be able to get ahold of the midrange Sony Xperia X Compact on September 25.
Sony made their mark in the smartphone industry when they started offering smartphones that came with great specs and even better camera features but Sony just couldn’t keep the lead as their rivals soon caught up to them.
To stay the pace with the current smartphone standard, it’s fitted with a USB-C port, and on top of that, it has an IP65/IP68 rating against dust and water, allowing it to survive through the rain, accidental spills or a quick hosing down for whatever objective. Experia XZ also has a fingerprint sensor and it runs on Android 6.0.1. The camera-centric devices called the Xperia XZ and the X Compact seemed to impress quite a few people but the Japanese firm hadn’t revealed any details on when the handsets would go on sale and how much they would cost. It will make everyday life easy, convenient, spontaneous and more effortless.
The Xperia XZ is follow-up to the Xperia X Performance, which also didn’t hit the store shelves in India. It is also installed with triple image sensing technology, as reported by NDTV.
