SCORE UPDATES: LSU 7, Auburn 3 – 1st QTR

But there is the palpable sense, as real as the blade of Jordan-Hare Stadium grass that Miles will slide between his teeth, that the victor is going to be on a little more solid ground, while the loser is going to feel like a sand dune slammed by waves from an incoming storm, being eaten away bit by bit.

The two Southeastern Conference Western Division rivals meet Saturday night having both dealt with disappointing losses and considerable angst among fans. For Miles, his Tigers (2-1, 1-0) still on track to keep his streak of 10 wins a year intact, it’s something else.

The Auburn Tigers (1-2) lost against the Texas A&M Aggies, 29-26, last week.

Needless to say, this is a “must win” for both teams.

Much like LSU, the Tigers of Auburn have trouble getting big plays down field. Garrett got a sack and a tackle for loss when Auburn tried to block him with a pulling guard.

Auburn is paced by sophomore quarterback Sean White, who has thrown for 510 yards and three touchdowns, and sophomore running back Kerryon Johnson, who has rushed for 278 yards and 4 touchdowns.
