Clinton campaign releases new health information
John McCain released more than a thousand pages of medical records to show he was cancer-free and fit to serve as president.
“I just talked to her – she’s feeling great and I think she’ll be back out there tomorrow”, former President Bill Clinton said Wednesday, when he stepped in for his wife at a previous scheduled campaign event in Las Vegas. She’s being treated with the antibiotic Levaquin for 10 days.
Clinton’s campaign also said it would release more information about her medical condition this week, which campaign spokesman Brian Fallon said would “put to rest any lingering concerns” about the 68-year-old’s health. “She was advised to see me when she returned from her travels for further testing”, Dr. Bardack wrote. It’s her first public appearance since Sunday, when she abruptly left a 9/11 memorial service in NY after becoming dizzy and dehydrated.
The Democratic presidential nominee’s campaign released an updated medical information which claimed that Clinton “continues to improve” after a pneumonia diagnosis.
Last Friday, a “CT scan revealed a small right middle lobe pneumonia”.
The doctor’s note also mentioned Mrs Clinton’s sinus infection early in the year.
Bardack wrote past year that while Clinton suffered a scare in 2012 following a concussion, she was now in good health.
Bardack said Clinton became “overheated” and “dehydrated” during the 9/11 event on Sunday.
The disclosure came as her Republican rival Donald Trump – in a media-savvy move – released new health data of his own during the taping of a medical chat show set to air Thursday.
A statement released last summer said her “current medical conditions include hypothyroidism and seasonal pollen allergies”.
Bardack also wrote on Wednesday that Clinton is “up to date” on her vaccinations and has normal mammogram and breast ultrasound.
Her blood pressure is 100/70, her cholesterol is 189 (LDL 103, HDL 56), for those keeping score at home. But she’s taking antibiotics and is on the mend.
Health speculations were kindled last week when Clinton trailed off into a coughing attack during her first press conference in almost nine months. Clinton, who is now 68, had to undergo anticoagulation therapy to dissolve a blood clot and had to wear special glasses to correct double vision for almost two months starting in late 2012. That’s probably why he finally broke today after restraining himself from commenting on Clinton’s failing health for three whole days.
But before Clinton went on the plane, she faced some tough questions during an interview with “The Tom Joyner Radio Show”.
