Lady Gaga to perform at Super Bowl halftime show

The pop star will headline the halftime show at Super Bowl 51 early next year, National Football League and halftime sponsor Pepsi announced on Thursday ahead of a game between the Miami Dolphins and Cincinnati Bengals.

Gaga, real name Stefani Germanotta, will hit the stage at the NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas on 5 February (17), midway through the 51st Super Bowl.

As part of its promotion, she’s landed arguably the most-watched television spot in the business, with hundreds of millions around the world tuning in every year to the Super Bowl.
