Hassan, Ayotte air ads after incumbent’s Trump comments
“There’s just no way”. Just last week, Ayotte said she “misspoke” after calling Trump a role model for children in a televised debate.
Tom Lopach, the executive director of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, released a statement following Ayotte’s announcement about Trump.
The Washington Post posted a video in which Trump discusses, in vulgar terms, groping women and trying to sleep with a married woman. He won style points for being smooth, but staying smooth meant ignoring or denying most of what Trump has said and inventing a statesmanlike Trump who doesn’t actually exist.
Lawrence, who has four daughters, said he will continue to support the GOP presidential nominee.
“I understand he has some past issues”, he said.
“I call things like I see them”, Ayotte told reporters at the Manchester Fire Department.
U.S. Rep. Seth Moulton, a Massachusetts Democrat, expressed concern that people were supporting Trump in light of the content on the tape. Meanwhile, the Union Leader, the statewide newspaper and a generations-long sentinel of Granite State conservatism, has endorsed Johnson, the former GOP governor of New Mexico.
Republicans who disavowed Trump after the tape face blowback from the GOP base, which stands by their nominee and wants Republican elected officials to as well. But after Mitt Romney’s bruising defeat in 2012, the Republican Party published an autopsy report about what they needed to improve upon for the 2014 midterms and 2016 election, and attracting young voters was a key demographic for them.
President Barack Obama is suggesting that Donald Trump insults people because he’s “insecure”. A bank spokesman declined comment about Trump’s comments and what it thinks Toomey should do in response.
The result is a campaign year that defies the definition that Robert Frost – who, as perhaps New Hampshire’s signature citizen, studied in Hanover, raised chickens in Derry, taught in Plymouth and celebrated birch “trunks arching in the woods” close by his Franconia farm – applied to poetry: a work that “begins in delight and ends in wisdom”. His campaign said in a statement McGinty hasn’t criticized Clinton’s “disastrous policies” or “the corruption of her behavior with the Clinton Foundation”.
“I certainly don’t think Secretary Clinton should have made generalizations”, said Hassan. “It’s very doubtful that I’ll vote for Mr. Trump”.
Speaker of the House Paul Ryan said he was “sickened” by the video, and canceled a joint appearance with Trump and Pence scheduled for this weekend.
Another vulnerable Republican, Pennsylvania Sen. “He is not going to drop out or be replaced and the RNC is going to commit its full resources and efforts to help the ENTIRE Republican ticket win”.
Crapo says he has spent more than 20 years working on domestic violence prevention and Trump’s excuse of “locker room talk” is unacceptable.
Asked whether the revelations were a fatal blow to Trump’s electoral prospects, Borges said, “The debate tomorrow is now everything”.
“It’s unfathomable and utterly inexcusable that Kelly Ayotte could hear these vile Trump comments, bragging about sexual assault, and not immediately disavow his candidacy for president”, she said.
“It’s time to send out resumes”.
Other Republicans who have rescinded their support for Trump include Ohio Gov. John Kasich, Sen. He said in a statement that Trump’s “repeated actions and comments toward women have been disrespectful, profane, and demeaning”.
Trump early Saturday apologized for the 2005 comments.
As Hillery speaks in the 30-second ad, the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard appears in the background, and the words “Portsmouth Naval Shipyard” appear under Hillery’s name for a few seconds.
