Trump pulls ‘mini-Trump’ on stage during rally, crowd goes wild
“You can do anything”, Trump is seen saying during unaired footage from an “Access Hollywood” segment. He did, though, call Clinton a “total hypocrite”, who enabled her husband, former President Bill Clinton, to assault women.
Trump also doubled down on his claim that he will appoint a special prosecutor to investigate Hillary Clinton once he is elected, agreeing with the audience when they began to chant “lock her up”. Later that night in Eastern Pennsylvania, he was even more pointed, making the suggestion of voter fraud in Philadelphia.
“I wouldn’t want somebody talking about my mother that way”, he said. “We have to make sure this election is not stolen from us”. As Trump addressed the nearly completely white crowd in Ambridge, he warned, “So important that you get out and vote”. “I’m appalled that they would do this”, he said looking across the street at the field house.
For Trump, the election is increasingly becoming a “me vs. them” affair, with “them” being not only Clinton and the Democrats, but also a GOP leadership that he has never been part of and, as an outsider, owes nothing to. “We’re going to go out and we’re going to win”, Trump said.
In the middle of his speech at a rally in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, Trump pointed out to the boy dressed in a black suit and red tie saying, “Look at that guy over there!”
Trump had attacked Clinton for her inability to accomplish any of her stated policy goals despite a lengthy career.
Forty Republican senators and congressmen have revoked their support for Trump, and almost 30 of them have called on him to quit the race. The series of Twitter posts appeared created to stem the flow of GOP lawmakers who’ve said they won’t vote for Trump or have urged him to exit the race since last week’s release of a tape showing him using predatory language regarding women.
“Actually I was only kidding, you can get the baby out of here”, he said to laughs. But whatever the merits of his diagnosis, Trump professed allegiance with the workers who’d once held those jobs. “You can do anything”, he said. “I’m just awestruck, it’s awesome”. All the reputable public polling shows Trump losing badly, so he’s feeding his supporters numbers from unscientific trash polls and telling them that they’re the only “honest” surveys.
As the doors opened to Trump supporters, the line stretched about two-and-a-half blocks from the entrance. Anna Lehane, 18, of Dallas, Pa., said she felt it was her “civic duty” to come protest with few friends. In the clip, Trump boasts about being able to do what he wants to women because of his fame, including “grab them by the pussy”.
While Trump’s candidacy has long exposed the party’s divisions, GOP leaders had hoped to prevent an all-out civil war until after the election.
Added Chief Mann, “We’re going to do everything we can, we have extra, outside agencies coming in, state police are dedicating some manpower”.
“So important that you get out and vote”. “I’m doing to make three, four stops a day”.
