Huawei launches Honor 8 in India at Rs 29999, other models
Huawei Honor 6X’s optics still remain undisclosed at the moment and rumor mills have not been outed information yet as to whether or not the smartphone will be equipped with the firm’s photography brand Leica.
Even though the invites do not include the specs details of the Honor 6X, previous TENAA leaks had already given us an idea of what the phone will come with.
The camera remains one of the highlights of the new Honor smartphone but it is being touted as a premium mid-segment smartphone.
Honor’s parent company, on the other hand, has released a smartwatch recently, the Huawei Watch, which packs a 1.4-inch AMOLED display and under the hood, it comes with 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of internal storage. The phone is fitted with sensors like a fingerprint scanner, gyros, proximity sensors, compass and accelerometers.
Key attribute of the device is its camera hardware. However, apart from other specs of the device, the center of attraction is the dual rear camera setup which the smartphone sports at the back. The phone’s design gives it an elegant look, and it flaunts an astonishing glass back and metal chassis. In addition to the peculiar 12-megapixel cameras at the back, the Honor 8 features an 8-megapixel selfie camera.
This is a dual-SIM smartphone and uses a hybrid SIM setup which allows for either a dual-SIM setup or you can use the second slot to insert a microSD card slot. Upfront, there is a 5.2-inch In-cell IPS LCD panel with Full HD 1080p resolution. It runs on Android 6.0 and Huawei’s Emotion UI 4.1.
The company announced that the Honor 8 will be available in the Sapphire blue, Pearl White and Sunrise Gold colours options at a retail price of Rs 29,999.
The standout feature of the phone, however, is its camera system that comes with wide aperture mode and professional mode. It is packed with a huge 3000mAh non-removable battery pack with a fast charging 9V/2A power adapter. We cover more about it in the review.
